After a year of seeking refuge and facing isolation due to the pandemic, we are all seeking renewal this spring. We are in the midst of a rebirth and it's manifesting itself in warm and welcoming furniture styles, natural textures and neutrals. These are combined a new breath of life into our home. Neutrals like taupe, off-white, and cream are replacing all-white paint schemes.

Natural materials like oak, cane, and travertine converge with modern, sumptuous curves to produce clean and simple lines in tables, cabinets, sideboards, and chairs. Worker rattan have become immortalized. They transcend across styles and time. They were popular at one time and are now experiencing a resurgence in modern design. With entertaining at home reaching an all-time high, bar cabinets and carts have become your in-home bartender. It's the place to store the good stuff.

Here's an age-old idea made new for carving out some privacy and separation, folding screens. Use them to create a workspace, a place to dress, or eat when space is at a premium. Travel to parts of the globe by decorating with tribal decor. Use patterns and textures from Africa such as baskets, artifacts, and pops of terracotta. The color black can be found in every texture and finish, from leather to natural wood. It grounds color, adds depth to any space. Black is a design staple that is here to stay. Every room needs a touch of green to feel alive. It doesn't matter if it's real. Potted plants are the easiest way to bring vibrancy and freshness to any room. Try hanging a planter in the corner of your kitchen or on a fireplace mantle. It will bring a little energy into every space.
