And this is The D-List. It's the weekly mini show that talks all things design. We're talking about all the new design trends for 2023. Where do we leave off?

Well, our next thing is statement lamps. A colorful lamp that has an interesting base. Maybe it's ceramic, maybe it's metal. And we're seeing a lot of that. And we're also seeing the shades that accompany the lamps. Those shades now are ceramic. At one time all shades were made out of linen or silk or paper or something like that. And now you're actually seeing lamps that have shades that are made out of marble, stone

and ceramics. Wow, so the lamp as almost instead of just being something that provides light, it's now the feature of the room. Whether they're standing lamps

or table lamps or task lamps or whatever the case may be.

I always love a bold piece of furniture that catches people's attention. You know? Something that people will gather around and, hey, tell me, look at this lamp, oh my gosh.

The next thing is window treatments. Window treatments have been simplified and pared down and made streamlined and cool and

chic.

But now what we're seeing is that it's expanding and it's kind of going back in time where where you actually add fringe and bow and scalloped edges and cornices. And so what you're seeing is you're seeing more of a personalization. So we're going back to infusing personality back into your window treatments in your home.

That is this week's D-List. If you want more details, Debrae, tell them.
